What a great start to Autumn!

Greetings from the Sales Office

What a great start to Autumn! We were blessed with great weather for our Open Day, although slightly on the warm side for some of the many guests who visited the village on March 3rd. It was a very enthusiastic crowd who enjoyed the jazz band, a variety of market stalls, food vans and took part in activities throughout the village. Many visitors expressed highly complimentary remarks about the new Men’s Shed/Workshop, the  three display homes that were open for inspection and the overall presentation of the village.Of course days such as this take a great deal of planning, organisation and hard work by  many people, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported me and the whole management team for their efforts and support; it is always greatly appreciated and confirms what a wonderful community exists at Barwarre Gardens.

Stage 6 now has only 1 home remaining for sale and Stage 7, which will be officially released soon, already has had 10 Expressions of Interest placed on the 22 homes that will be built in this stage. I expect that the entre village will be sold out by the end of March. This is an incredible result considering the Phase 2 development, which includes Stages 5 ,6 and 7, was only released in October. We will now ‘watch this space’ with great anticipation as the civil works are due to commence soon.

Last month was a very busy one at the village. One very popular event was a wonderful exhibition of photos of the Bellarine and Geelong region by Tim Pescott which was on display at the Community Centre. We had many visitors to this event with many prints and books of Tim’s work sold.

Pam Jennings from the Bellarine Historical Society also presented a highly informative talk on genealogy and how to get started on researching your family history. This has become a very popular interest for many retirees and Pam’s experience and knowledge in this field was greatly appreciated.
